Well if you dont have some rules about “saying bad words” or you must spend your whole mony for ear protection. But it is also a truth that you rethink such rules when you hit your own thump with a hammer istead of the nail.
I don’t think there is much time for rational thought if you do that. it’s a VERY fast reaction after that happens. it’s not always pain , it’s also a big mistake not involving dropping something valuable. You either train yourself not to say those things or you live with the consequences of where you say such things.
The whole kids can’t say bad words, does have a built in exception. becuase the reason for the rule is they not trusted to use them at the right time and places. if then use it at the right time and place is the obvious exception

Yes eric you are right. As parent you should be a good example. But you should also not forgott that rules need exceptions sometimes.
