Considering how many times money (online and off) Fred’s has been… let’s say “misused”, leaving a stack of bills lying around for emergencies is just asking for it not to be there when it’s really needed.
Being a cab driver can be hard…

I just had to call a taxi for my son, I had to pay over the phone before they would dispatch the taxi. Of course, he is in a different state than me.
