Could see it as compulsive helping (feeling of dread associated with not performing an action) but I would think PTSD is more likely.

well, the ‘dark’ is celebrated by ‘good friday’ because of the sacrifice on the cross.
Easter is supposed to celebrate the triumph of the empty tomb.
Most people forget that because the cross is prevalent in worship, not the empty tomb
